2007 - equip the science lab at Nkoanrua Secondary School ((in partnership with Mr&Mrs Stephen Smith and Jifundishe.org)
2006 - Tracy Ann Moore and PhiMu T-shirt sales raised $300
2006 - purchased sewing machines for caretakers to earn money (in partnership with Good Hope Africa, Gainesville, FL)
2006 -brickmaking equipment provided by KickStart America
2006 - installed 1000 liter fresh water holding tank (in partnership with African Orphans U.K.)
2006 - American Creativity Academy in Kuwait raised $1700 with school play "Anne of Green Gables".
2006 - sponsor physical therapy student from the village of Nkoanakole (in partnership with Mr&Mrs Stephen Smith and Jifundishe.org)
2006 - constructed new orphanage on the vacant lot adjacent to the existing orphanage (in partnership with www.Pamojaproject.org)
2006 - sponsor Steven, a mobility limited orphan, for boarding school (in partnership with African Orphans UK)
2005 - bought mosquito netting for all the orphans beds
2005 - bought a blanket for each bed
2005 - bought chickens and built chicken pen sufficient to provide each child with two eggs per week (in partnership with Jifundishe.org)
2005 - bought school uniforms for each child attending school (in partnership with Jifundishe.org)
2005 - obtained 501 C 3 status from the IRS (#20-3035808)
2005 - bought shoes for each child attending school (in partnership with Jifundishe.org and Elayna Rexrode Gainesville, FL)
2005 - milk project. For $80 per month, we can provide each child with 1/4 litre of milk daily. Co-funded by friends of Elayna Rexrode, Gainesville, FL and Colleen Tobin, Windham, Maine.
FUTURE PROJECTS:
2007 - repair the roof at Nkoanrua Secondary School ((in partnership with Mr&Mrs Stephen Smith and Jifundishe.org)
2007 - contribute to sun and weather canopy at Imbaseni Free Library, which is used by the Good Hope Children
2007 - support a child at Amani House, shelter for street children in Moshi Tanzania (www.amanikids.org)
2007 - investigate feasibility of bringing reliable water supply to the new orphanage
2007 - initiate three microloans to support economic development in the village
2008 - establish a tuition fund so that each orphan who qualifies can be sent to school (Tanzania does not have a public school system. Tuition, books, supplies, and uniforms cost about $300 per student annually)
2009 - establish a fund for purchase of AIDS medications to heal stricken adults, thereby reducing the population of future orphans.
